CHASING GIANT BUCKS AND BIG WALLS - RUNOUT
Runout follows the trials and tribulations of Brad Brooks' semi-obsessive passions for bowhunting and rock climbing, all while trying to balance family, work, and life. It's a story about getting older and trying to juggle all of life's responsibilities and still carve out time to do hard things, take big risks, set goals, and doggedly pursue them even when it seems like giving up might be the right choice.
This film is a story of dedication, passion, and what it looks like to live a full life. You will get a glimpse into the personal side of what the consequences are for those around him, as well as the successes and failures along the way.

    I thought it does a convex edge only since the belts are flexible. Doesn't matter how close these rollers are.

      You are correct that it is very hard to get a V grind because of the belt flex. It can be done with very light pressure but takes practice.

    Not wearing a safety harness? Terrible idea. I know 3 people who have fallen personally. One is dead, two were severely injured and took months to recover. And that's just three I personally know. Never go up without fall protection. It just isn't worth it.

    State of Flow is a rare thing that a large part of people will never expererience. I can count on one hand in 10 years of mtn biking how many times ive felt it. Im a "trad dad" now but i know the struggle very well. Used to hike miles in to work on this 5.11.s route. Hours and hours in the gym and hangboard. Got it right before i stopped climbing. Thanks for taking us along.

    Man, nice looking route. Definitely a chance. I ate, breathed and slept climbing. Climbing took over my time, I worked in the climbing gym and would chase that next line. But now I’m that I’m 40 yrs old, on the couch, nursing a buggered ankle, watching RUclips and waiting for the days my kids want to climb. That drive that you get once you’re a climber and you actually fall in love with it, doesn’t leave you. I still look at rock faces and go “that’d be a cool climb “ But what’s real funny is that archery is now my drive, my focus and time away for myself. I’m only two seasons into bow hunting and I feel, I know I should’ve found this passion for bowhunting/ archery earlier. But now, I have another drive to succeed and an opportunity to show this valued resource to my kids. Really enjoyed the film, definitely gave me some inspiration. Need to get climbing back in my life more. I can’t wait for that chance at a buck. Hoping this fall 🦌🏹

    Such a cool combination of hobbies. I too hunt and climb, and in the modern world, where the surface level "values" of each sport seem to be in direct contrast to each other, I can't help but appreciate those moments when I meet someone who is both a hunter and a climber. I've long been drawn to Brad and his Argali films and perhaps there are some subconscious, overlapping values here to thank. Congrats on the pioneering video capturing this unique crossover!

    I am enjoying this video. I am considering investing in the worksharp. Well done. Do you prefer the ceramic versus the diamond abrasives?

    • @Argali
      @Argali 28 дней назад

      Not sure exactly what you mean there, but for blade shaping, the diamond grits on this unit are necessary, and the ceramic is really there for honing or touching up. If I have a knife that I have already shaped previously and that just needs to be touched up, I will start with the ceramic to see if I can get my knife sharp with it. If it doesnt work, Ill go to the 800 grit, then the ceramic. Basically, start with the least aggresive abrasive on a knife that has already been shaped so you're taking off as little material as possible and work your way to more aggressive abrasives if you need to. That answer your question?
